My Go-To Liquid Lipstick Shades

My Go-To Liquid Lipstick Shades

Heyheyy girls! If you’re a mauve-pink lipstick lover, then these shades should definitely tickle your fancy! Before I get started though, I just want to clarify that it is the shades I will be addressing my preference to in this blogpost, if you would like a post on my favourite liquid lipstick brands, then let me know and I can dedicate a whole post to that entirely! 😀

The reason why I’m not fixating on the brands is that, although I adore the shades I’ll be mentioning in this post, the formulation and longevity of the liquid lipsticks can often compromise my fondness for the liquid lipstick brand in general overall. Needless to say though, I always try and find a way to make the most of my favourite shades, and I’ll be mentioning how I do so later on so stay tuned 😉 ➡

So here are some of my favourite shades:Brands: Dose of Colours, Colourpop Cosmetics, Kat Von D, Coloured Raine, Gerard Cosmetics & LA Splash

Here are swatches of the shades in order of the pic above:

Bare With Me – Peachy toned
Chi – Muted brown nude
Lovesick – Marshmallow pink
24Seven – Fiery pink
Mars – Grey toned nude
Ecstasy – Mauve/lavender
Lovestruck – Deep mauve

So I’m sure you can all see for yourself why I like these shades, their pigmentation is true to colour and appears as it does in their lipstick tubes. Now, the reason why I haven’t focused too much on the brands is because I find some formulas are far more drying than others. For instance, the most comfortable formula in this list of swatches is the Kat Von D one, and the most drying (therefore least comfortable) to wear is the LA Splash liquid lipsticks.

The best way I’ve found to prevent the dryness of a liquid lipstick is to apply a thin layer of vaseline on your lips, then apply a light handed coat of a creamy lipliner (I really like the Colourpop Lippie Stix for this) and then apply the liquid lipstick.

And that’s all I’ve got to share with you all for now! I hope you’ve enjoyed reading and found the swatches helpful if you’re considering to buy any 😉
