Kiko Water Eyeshadow Light Gold No.208 (£8.90)

As if the multi-dimensional appearance of this product wasn’t enough – its name is just as attention grabbing: WATER EYESHADOW.

(Is it just me or do you really feel like putting your thumb into that little centre dip of the eyeshadow??)

This eyeshadow has been created in such a formulation that it has a dual purpose; it can be used wet or dry. However, I believe that the rest of us makeup aficionado’s over here have given this little tub of gold a THIRD purpose! USE IT AS HIGHLIGHTER!

You see, that’s one of the beauty’s about makeup products – we can use almost anything for more than just its intended purpose. For instance, an eyeshadow could double as a blush, likewise, a lipstick can be used as a cream blush for the cheeks – and the list goes on 😉

It gives just the perfect amount of glow without looking chunky or too in-your-face. My two HG highlighters are the MAC Minerlazie Skinfinish Soft and Gentle and theBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer Luminizer and this eyeshadow has deffo joined the two. Soft and Gentle gives a more shiny almost silverish highlight, and the Mary-Lou Manizer gives a champagne highlight and this little eyeshadow gives a true gold highlight – ideal for NC30 + skintones.

The picture on the left is the eyeshadow on the highpoint of my cheeks and the swatch on the far right is the eyeshadow applied wet on the back of my hand. Used with or without water, this is such a beautiful product to own. I’ve used it for almost three weeks straight now – on myself and on clients! I would highly recommend to try this out – especially if you’re a fan of a golden glow 😀

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this, let me know what your favourite highlighter is! I’d love to know ♥
